Shakespeare's final wholly attributed work, The Tempest is regarded as his farewell to his faithful audience. First performed before King James at Whitehall, it contains all the magic, song and dance that the King and many of his subjects were fascinated by. In the early Seventeenth Century there was much interest in the supernatural and excitement about sea voyages to discover new lands. The play reflects this outward looking view, but also considers the misdeeds of ambitious men whose transgressions against the natural order of things, will eventually be punished. This is one of his most accessible plays, containing beautiful poetry, knockabout comedy, wicked conspiracy and, of course, a beguiling love affair!

A lively and varied recital/performance, with engaging drawing-room intimacy, celebrating the life, mind and writings of one of our greatest novelists.

This one-woman show, consisting entirely of Jane Austen's words, celebrates the variety and wit of her writings, with extracts from her memoirs, letters, juvenilia, poetry and novels. It takes us into the attitudes, imagination and sensations of those who lived in country houses and rectories in the early nineteenth century. All Jane Austen is here - from the familiar voices of the Bennets in conversation with Mr Collins to the unknown Austen of the juvenilia. The readings from Austen's letters take on a particular poignancy in the village she called home for the final years of her life. The musical cues are played on the harpsichord by Sevenoaks School student, Mika Curson.

There are several tribute shows to Michael Jackson currently performing around the world, but only ONE production will have you believing that just for a moment... The Legend Continues.

King Of Pop: The Legend Continues is led by the world's number one Michael Jackson tribute artist ' Navi', which alone sets this show above the rest. Navi is the only MJ tribute ever invited to perform for Michael himself. Michael actually stood up and gave Navi a standing ovation after he performed at one of his birthday parties in LA. The two remained friends and Navi was also regularly hired as a decoy to distract fans and press when Michael visited the UK.

Along with his live band dancers, Navi brilliantly recreates all the Jackson classics in a show that will take you closer than you ever imagined to an original Jackson concert. Featuring hits such as Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean, Black or White, Thriller, Man in the Mirror and the 'Jackson Five' classics in a show suitable for the whole family.

Tickets: £22.00 - Standard.

"Lechery, lechery, still wars and lechery: nothing else holds fashion"

Troilus and Cressida swear they will always be true to one another. But in the seventh year of the siege of Troy their innocence is tested, and exposed to the savage corrupting influence of war, with tragic consequences.

Virtuoso percussionist Evelyn Glennie collaborates with RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran to create a satirical futuristic vision of a world resounding with the rhythm of battle, broadcast live to cinemas from Shakespeare's home town.

The Greek army is encamped under the walls of Troy and, at the point at which the play begins, the war has reached stalemate. The Greeks are quarrelling amongst themselves. Achilles, their greatest champion, refuses to fight and has withdrawn to his tent with his lover, Patroclus. Equally at odds with themselves, the Trojans are debating the value of continuing the war merely for the sake of keeping Helen.

Troilus is much distracted from these military concerns by his love for Cressida, the daughter of a Trojan who has defected to the Greek camp. The young lovers are eagerly assisted by Cressida's uncle Pandarus, who acts as their go-between. However, after only one night together they are parted when Cressida is sent to join her father in the Greek camp. Almost immediately she betrays Troilus with the Greek Diomedes and, discovering this, Troilus is plunged into despair.

With the fall of Troy certain, Troilus vows revenge on Achilles.

Broadcast live from London's West End, see Ian McKellen's 'extraordinarily moving portrayal' (Independent) of King Lear in cinemas.

Chichester Festival Theatre's production received five-star reviews for its sell-out run, and transfers to the West End for a limited season. Jonathan Munby directs this 'nuanced and powerful' (The Times) contemporary retelling of Shakespeare's tender, violent, moving and shocking play. Considered by many to be the greatest tragedy ever written, King Lear sees two ageing fathers – one a King, one his courtier – reject the children who truly love them. Their blindness unleashes a tornado of pitiless ambition and treachery, as family and state are plunged into a violent power struggle with bitter ends.
