Burt Bacharach Celebration by Shireen Francis & Mike Hatchard

An intimate evening of music in the Footlights Bar

Singer Shireen Francis and pianist Mike Hatchard bring their deep experience of live performance to a celebration of the wonderful songs of Burt Bacharach, including ‘Walk On By', ‘I Say A Little Prayer', ‘Close To You' & ‘A House Is Not A Home' that were made famous by Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, Carpenters, Luther Vandros amongst many others.

The FOOTLIGHTS Bar of the Stag with its Art Deco style, high ceiling & cabaret style seating is a fine setting for an intimate evening of wonderful music.

Shireen Francis is totally at ease with the American Songbook, as well as relating to blues and gospel influences. BBC Radio rated her as ‘quite simply, one of the best British jazz vocalists.'

Mike Hatchard has had an extraordinarily diverse career as musician, including touring America as Cleo Laine's piano accompanist as a member of the John Dankworth Quintet and being Matt Monro's musical director.
