One Night Only

The Laura Bruce Dance Academy (LBDA) is a hugely successful, established and vibrant theatre school in the heart of Beckenham.

Pupils between the ages of 3-18 years take classes in all disciplines of the Performing Arts including ISTD Modern, Tap and Ballet, LAMDA Drama, Singing, Musical Production, Commercial Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Acro and Street Jazz.

‘One Night Only' features our senior dancers of 2025 and will showcase their talent in a variety of dance genres.

The teachers at LBDA offer a wealth of experience from a professional background, inspiring and nurturing young performers to reach their dreams.

LBDA is proud of their pupils' successes and they have had pupils appearing in shows such as 'Matilda' (Cambridge Theatre and UK Tour) and ‘School Of Rock' (New London Theatre and UK Tour). Pupils have also appeared in many shows at provincial and London Theatres including ‘Behind The Beautiful Forevers' (National Theatre), ‘Love' (National Theatre), ‘Les Miserables' (Queen's Theatre), ‘Billy Elliot' (Victoria Palace), ‘Lion King' (Lyceum Theatre), ‘Annie' (UK Tour), ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' (UK Tour) ‘Sound of Music' (UK Tour), ‘Peter Pan' (Churchill Theatre), 'Wizard of Oz' (Churchill Theatre), ‘Identical' (UK Tour), 'Aladdin' (Fairfield Halls), 'An Inspector Calls' (Churchill Theatre), ‘Oliver' (Fairfield Halls), ‘Cinderella' (Churchill Theatre), ‘Aladdin' (Churchill Theatre). Pupils have also appeared in TV Commercials including ‘Tescos' and ‘Playstation' and have appeared in TV programmes such as ‘Call the Midwife', ‘Sewing Bee' and ‘Hansk Zipzer'. Pupils have also performed at Disneyland Paris.

LBDA performs a show every year as well as running annual competitions, charity events, cabaret evenings, workshops, theatre camps and theatre trips. The school has a strong family feel to it where every child is made to feel special.

Many pupils have gone on to further their training at professional performing arts colleges including Laines, Urdang, Brit School, London Studio Centre, Doreen Bird College, The Centre, Laban, Performer's College, Arts Educational, Italia Conti and The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
