Traditional cinema meets modern technology

Films have been shown in the building that is now the Stag Community Arts Centre since August 22 1936 with the very first film "When Knights Were Bold" starring Jack Buchanan and Fay Wray. But there's nothing old-fashioned about today's cinema screens. The Stag boasts two state of the art digital cinema screens, including 3D films.

A selection of the latest films are shown every day of the week. The range of films means there is usually something suitable for all age groups.

The cinema and the box office are open seven days a week. We only close on Christmas Day!

Monday to Saturday: 10:00 to 20:00

Sunday: 12:00 to 20:00

Film listings change every Friday. Sign up here for regular updates on new films and for the chance to win free cinema tickets! Just register for the cinema newsletter and you will automatically be entered into the Stag's monthly draw.
