The Mikado is one of the best known and popular of the Gilbert and Sullivan operettas and was first performed in 1885. It is set in Japan and involves the topsy-turvy tale of Nanki Poo, Yum Yum and of course The Lord High Executioner.
In this concert performance the solo parts will played by professionals, in full costume, from the The Grim's Dyke Opera Company who were born from the ashes of D'Oyly Carte.
